Jeena Chatrani is an award
winning Caribbean colourist and
impressionist, who paints entirely with
palette knives. She started painting
when she was thirteen and in 2015
graduated with a Double Major in
Architectural Design and Art History
with a minor in Visual Studies from
the University of Toronto, Canada.
Just a few days after graduating
Jeena won Public Prizes for her
pieces at the Carmichael and NIFCA
exhibitions in Barbados. Last year, her
piece of cricket legend Sir Garfield
Sobers auctioned for US$130,000 to
help raise funds for the Sandy Lane

she currently has a map of the world
with a pin in every country where her
paintings reside (11 countries so far).
Jeena likes her art to be big, bold
and fun, with a balance between
realism and abstraction. Her work
is available at Gallery of Caribbean
Art in Speightstown and The Mews
Restaurant and Bar in Holetown.
