For the second consecutive year a Barbados Scholar (Sir Roy Marshall) delivered the Sir Winston Scott Memorial Lecture. Clyde Mascoll graduated with First Class Honours in Economics from the Cave Hill campus of the UWI. 1985 Winston Cox visited Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia while on a mission as a consultant to the CFTC. The Bank produced a 10-minute documentary, entitled The Economy of Barbados which highlighted its outreach programme in secondary schools. Calvin Springer and Victor Springer, on different occasions, attended seminars sponsored by the Bank of Japan in Tokyo. 1986 The 9-foot Steinway orchestral concert grand piano arrived at the Frank Collymore Hall. Tony Kellman, Carl Moore’s temporary assistant, interviewed Governor Blackman and Architect Mervyn Awon for Bank Notes magazine.
