Forty-one members of staff were trained at the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP). 1989 Queen Elizabeth ll and Prince Philip attended a cultural presentation in the Hall in March. Performers included the Mighty Gabby, the Barbados Dance Theatre and the Cavite Chorale. From May 1, Harold Codrington started an 18-month assignment as technical assistant to the executive director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the IMF.
