During the Research Department’s Annual Review Seminar the topic of the panel discussion was An Evaluation of a Regional Economic Partnership Agreement between the ECM and Cariforum . 2000 The first baby born to a member of staff in the new millennium was Amanda Dominique Haywood, daughter of Josephine Haywood of the MIS Department, who made her appearance on January 10, 2000. Ian Carrington started a secondment as a financial expert with the United Nations Off-shore Forum in Vienna, Austria. Peter Whitehall was seconded to the IMF for a three-year assignment as adviser to the executive director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean. Wendell Cumberbatch represented Barbados at body-building in St. Kitts, where he placed fifth in the light-heavyweight division.
