Khadija Marshall, daughter of Janice Marshall (Director of the MIS Department), won a Barbados Scholarship, gaining Grade 1 passes in mathematics, chemistry, biology, communications studies and Caribbean studies. 2009 Marsha Depradine, clerical officer, Accounts, was among the top 10 out of 50 competitors in the third season of the Barbados Amateur Model Search. The Annual Crop Over Visual Arts Exhibition was sponsored for the 15th year by the Bank. The Central Bank Purchase Award and the Governor’s Award were won respectively by Rosemary Pilgrim and Martina Pile. Denis Graham was elected president of the Sports and Cultural Club in October. 2010 Former governor Dr. Marion Williams was appointed Barbados’ Ambassador to the UN Offices in Geneva and the World Trade Organisation. The Bank’s team placed second (one point behind the Bank of Jamaica) at the Regional Central Bank Games in Guyana. During the Annual Awards Ceremony, Marlene Bayne, David Boyce, Linel Franklin, Angela Griffith, Keith Jones, Cameron Layne and Gloria “Ellie” Newsam received awards for 35 years’ service.
