Chapter 6: People, Places and Things 265 2013 During March, the Bank, in its capacity as a member of CEMLA’s Board of Governors for the 2011-2013 period, hosted a meeting of that group’s Alternates and Audit Committees. Legal Counsel, Sadie Dixon, was selected from among an outstanding set of candidates to participate in the year's Small Countries Financial Management Programme scheduled for the Isle of Man, UK, during July. Brian Greene, retired director of the Internal Audit Department, was appointed a member of the Committee of Management of the Bank’s Staff Pension Scheme. Most of his 31 years at the Bank was spent in the Banking & Currency Department. 2014 The theme of the Annual Review of Policy and Operations was Encouraging Renewable Energy in Barbados . The Bank’s accumulated losses exceeded its capital. In accordance with the Central Bank Act, the capital was sustained by the transfer of non- interest bearing securities to the Bank by the Government. Four people joined the Bank’s permanent establishment and six resigned. At year-end the Bank had 267 staff members, of whom 246 were permanent employees. 2015 The new Church Village Green was named the Americas Property Awards’ “Best Commercial Landscape Architecture - Americas”.
