Both Sides of The Coin: The Story of The Central Bank of Barbados 1972-2017
institution of excellence that contributes in a sterling way to the social and economic fabric of our country. I commend as well the author of this book, Harold Codrington, an accomplished economist with many years’ experience at the Bank, for making it possible for us to share Both Sides of the Coin - the successes and disappointments, the highs and the lows, the good and not- so-good news, the economic achievements, our philanthropic attainments, our people and our leaders. For him, Both Sides of the Coin has been a labour of love. On behalf of the Bank, governors, boards and staff - past and present - it is a great honour to present this book. This is the Bank’s story during its first 45 years; we believe that it served this country proudly. With the continued dedication of management and staff as well as the support and cooperation of the people of Barbados, we are optimistic that the Bank’s contribution during the next half century will be just as sterling.
