Codrington College’s Morning Star Restaurant Codrington College is celebrating its 275th Anniversary this year. It is always lovely to visit with its beautiful grounds, huge lily pond and view down to the East coast and Consett Bay, but there is now another attraction. The Morning Star Restaurant, under the management of Chef Ryon Forde, is open for lunch Monday to Saturday from noon to 3pm. They also offer an all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet lunch for BB$35 per person with traditional Bajan dishes and desserts. They cater to individuals, tour groups and corporate functions. Tel (246) 240-5198 info@cliftonhallgreathouse.com Hackleton’s Cliff Hackleton’s Cliff is a great limestone cliff 800ft above sea level in St. Joseph and St. John. Supposedly, it derives its name from Colonel Hackleton, who had ridden his horse over the cliff after finding his wife at home with another man. Today, the neighbouring community has created and sustains a lovely garden area at the look out point which is signposted from Malvern near to PEG Farm & Nature Reserve. Donations for its upkeep are accepted. A fine example of community tourism! PEG Farm & Nature Reserve Breathtaking views on the northern end of Hackleton’s Cliff, countryside walks through Joes River forest, guided eco tours of the farm and herb garden, and seriously delicious farm-to-table meals in their café are just some of the things to do at PEG.
