Ins & Outs of Grenada

With more than 35 years with the brush in hand, Susan Mains’ work portrays a life-long love affair with Grenada and the Caribbean and her paintings are proudly displayed in banks, businesses, and art collections world-wide. Vibrant colours, rich textures and especially Grenada’s work boat regattas feature in her painted narratives. Susan believes that art has economic potential to grow Grenada, and as such has always been involved in developing the art sector and other artists. A previous president of the Grenada Arts Council, she led the team that presented the Grenada National Pavilions at the Venice Biennale in 2015, 2017 and 2019. Most days she is in her studio painting, but you might find her at Susan Mains Gallery at Spiceland Mall or Art House 473 in Calliste.
