Barbados In A Nutshell 2019 - 2020

125 Beaches East Coast CAUTION: The east coast has strong and very dangerous undercurrents – it is NOT SAFE FOR SWIMMING but has some spectacular photo opps! Bath: Bath is the exception on the east coast with its own look and character. It is lovely for a calm dip with plenty of shade and scope for coastal walks. Facilities but no refreshments or chairs available. Bathsheba: Fresh ocean breezes and pounding surf. ‘Soup Bowl’ is a famous surf break with local and international surfers. Due to very strong currents, swimming here is restricted to shallow rock pools where you can take a dip at low tide. Exercise extreme caution. Round House and Atlantis Hotel are great choices for lunch. Cattlewash: Miles upon miles of untouched beach along the island’s most rugged stretch of coast. Swimming here is extremely dangerous! On the beach at Barclays Park, Chill ‘N Breeze is a great new spot to book for lunch or just pop in for a drink and chill out. Little Bay: Quite close to North Point, this dramatically beautiful and very unique beach is a must see. Swimming is possible but keep to the edge and don’t swim if the sea is particularly rough. No facilities. Cattlewash Little Bay All Photos Andrew Hulsmeier Pools at Bathsheba Bath
