Here, breadfruits are fire-roasted, then split and used as a bowl. They’re then heaped with delicious toppings that range from lentil/veg to buljol (saltfish), mince meat, pigtail and tuna. The outer char suffuses them with a flavour that tastes like heaven on a grill. On Thursdays, thin breadfruit slices are made into taco shells instead. It’s genius. @yelluhmeat Cobz Street Corn Corn on the cob, fully loaded in more ways than you could ever imagine, makes for satisfying and delicious food. Mapp Bar & Grocery An old standby: At the Eagle Hall stoplight (close to Bridgetown), R.A. Mapp Bar & Grocery stands out for its colourful red exterior, longevity (which shows they’re doing things right), and rotisserie chicken. They’re open from 11am to 12:30am every day except Sunday.
