109 Beaches 11. Bathsheba With pounding surf, ‘Soup Bowl’ is a famous surf break with local and international surfers. Due to strong currents, swimming here is restricted to shallow rock pools where you can take a dip at low tide. There are no chair rentals but the surrounding hills provide shade in the afternoon. There are several options but Round House serves breakfast, lunch or snacks and has a wonderful view. (Closed Mon. and Tues.) 12. Bath Bath is a unigue east coast beach. The sea is very calm and shallow for a long way out and can be a bit murky. The large shady areas with excellent parking and public facilities make it ideal for picnics. There is a really lovely coastal path that runs for a few miles to Bathsheba but one eroded section makes it slightly risky. Bath Beach House offers kayaking, guided hikes and absolutely delicious Bajan lunches.
