Ins & Outs of SVG 2020
48 ST. VINCENT SHOPPING & SERVICES INS& UTS Food for thought One of the first questions raised by visitors to St. Vincent & the Grenadines is where do we buy everything we need to feed ourselves? This is an especially important consideration for people who are renting a villa on one of the smaller islands or moving from place to place on a sailing vacation. Shopping here definitely needs more planning but it can be fun. It’s a great chance to live like a local! Buy Local Two excellent products made right here in St. Vincent ... St. Vincent & the Grenadines Gourmet Coffee , grown, roasted and sold here, is in a class of its own – smooth, full-bodied, and just simply down to earth good! Vincentian Chocolate , also in a class of its own, is a product SVG should be proud of. The cocoa is grown using sustainable agricultural methods, it’s ethically sourced and the end product is world class – ask the Queen, her Easter Egg was made with it! Be Mindful Carry your own reusable shopping bags with you and avoid plastic wherever possible. It is said that one million plastic drinking bottles are bought around the world every minute. Keep SVG clean and green! The tap water here is good to drink so please carry your own water bottle with you and refill as needed. Companies like C. K. Greaves , with supermarkets in Kingstown, Arnos Vale and Pembroke, carry an extensive selection of top quality, imported meats, seafood and cheeses, wine and spirits, along with fresh baked breads, deli items and a wide range of local products. They offer a reliable delivery service to the Grenadine islands via the ferries and also deliver to yachts. Tel (784) 457-1074 or email: ckgreaves@vincysurf.com
